The story and its fragrances can be developed around the destination’s unique identity: its landscape, botanical environment, cultural heritage, local traditions, architecture, history and spiritual atmosphere. From the scent of tropical rain and frangipani to desert winds, ancient woods, spices, incense or sea air, each fragrant novel can translate the soul of the place into an unforgettable sensory narrative. The result is a highly distinctive olfactory signature, created exclusively for the property and designed to evoke a powerful emotional response.

The creation may begin with an online consultation and the sharing of the property’s story, materials and visual world, or through an in-person immersion at the property. Meeting the place, its people and surroundings can add another dimension, but both approaches can lead to an equally profound creation. By nature, every Fragrant Novel by Natalie Noor is a unique creation, not only in its story and fragrances, but also in the way it is brought to life. There is no predetermined number of chapters, fragrances or format. Each narrative finds its own rhythm, structure and sensory expression.

A bespoke object

The number of chapters and their corresponding fragrances, the format of the novel, the design of the coffret, the presentation and size of the fragrance samples, and the accompanying visual or sensory elements are all developed in relation to the story. Every detail can therefore be thoughtfully considered and tailored to the experience, the setting and the intended audience. 

From chapter to perfume

A fragrance born within a Fragrant Novel may also continue its journey beyond the narrative. Selected chapters can be developed into individual Extraits de Parfum, allowing each fragrance to exist as an independent creation, to be worn, collected or offered as a lasting olfactory expression of the story.
